The following statement was released Jan 14 2025 by Oakland Student Service (Student Service Corp) regarding future plans:

“2025”

Our three-year anniversary on January 5th propels us into year two of a five-year plan established during our leadership change in July 2023. We are blessed and honored to have spent the last three years serving those in need and now look to shift focus towards reinventing grassroots community service. Although inactive on socials since our OSS Park renovation in November 2023, we have continued our local service, paired with pilot events across California that were not publicized. 2024, or year one, saw a corporate restructure focused on emphasizing sustainability and structure within our model, providing simplicity, longevity, and flexibility to our student leaders. We are now in growth mode. Under our new structure, the OSS network has expanded across the United States, with six chapters currently established under our C-Corporation. Our goal in year two is reflective of our mission going forward: to make service as easy as possible, allowing our amazing leaders to keep changing the world. To everybody reading and supporting, old or new, we open our arms to anybody who would like to support our work.
